Have you ever heard about Chococruise?
My Colleague and Tour Guide Carmen Papamancea sent me, via WhatsApp, news about the Cruise Ship Costa Pacífica that belongs to the Italian Group Costa Cruceros.
On April 16th, 2020 this Cruise Ship will sail from the Italian City named Civitavecchia, that is situated about 70 kms from Rome, to take a tour in the Mediterranean Sea. Until here, there aren’t any news…
Nevertheless, this tour will be the first Cruise Ship dedicated to chocolate : The “Chococruise”. Have you ever imagined enjoying luxury on board? There you will find: four swimming pools, thirteen bars, a disco, fourteen decks for guests, a theater, five jacuzzis. Aside from that you can sample and participate in chocolate’s classes. You cannot lose this extraordinary experience. By the way this cruise is able to transport 3.780 passengers, has a crew of 1.110 and 1.504 cabines.
Its new ship’s maiden was on June 6th, 2009.
However its slogan is “the sea in the music”. All its decorations and the names of its decks are connected with the world’s music.
If you dream to record your own CD don’t hesitate because your opportunity to do it is arriving. Costa Pacífica strongs bet for you! There you will find the “Music Studio” - a huge recording studio with your favorite musics. If you are a fan of F1 there will enjoy driving the simulator.
Turning to our main question: for this special and delicious occasion, what will the tour be?
It will depart from Civitavecchia as you may known, Genoa will be the next destination, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malta and finally the last place will be Catania, in Sicily. The tour will last 7 days.
According to the company there workshops will be imparted by:
Guido Gabino : a famous Italian Chocolate Maker who devotes himself to his job. The headquarter of his company is situated in Turin, Italy. He makes products that are mouth-watering and handmade.
Enric Rovira : Catalan who became the benchmark of chocolate in Spain, Europe and additionally in Japan and the USA. Since he was very young he worked with his parents in their bakery. Afterwards he set up his own business in 1993. He is considered a creative professional.
Pierpaolo Ruta : Italian. He is the owner of sales channel called Originàrio. He is dedicated to sell Italian products such as weins, olive oils, salamis, handmade sweets etc.
I was just imagining the high level of those classes! Guests will make samples with chocolates, wines and the mediterranean cuisine.
Aside from that a tour to “Museo del Chocolate” in Barcelona will be offered. I had the opportunity to visit it a few years ago. In Catalan is called “Museu de la Xocolata”. It is situated inside of the Convento de Sant Agustí Vell. This venue is an old building that was built between the XIV century and XVI century in the neighborhood La Ribera, in Barcelona. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn very well the history of the chocolate. Certainly since chocolate was discovered, Spanish people were the first persons to expose this food to Europe.
